Our Newest Single, “this is love”

We sat down to write a love song and said, “Wouldn’t it be hilarious if we wrote a call and response song between the two of us and then dropped some “OH’s” in the chorus? Some of the words in the bridge were designed to honor the poetic legacy and creative genius of the late E.E. Cummings. Even though they are not the exact words from his poem, the imagery is still conveyed! Later that day, after some scribbling, strumming, and humming, we emerged with this song! We enjoyed singing it so much, and the response to it was so fun, we decided to record it as our first Single (which you can grab on this site, along with iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, etc!) Here’s the words:

Yes! Tara gave us a pre-release preview at family reunion (how special!) but I don’t think I knew MountainCity was coming at the time. Wow! Soooo exciting. And I totally dig the song! It’s fun, happy, uplifting, clever, & catchy. The harmony is beautiful and I love those guitar riffs! Isn’t it so cool that you two were meant to sing together from forever?? And it shows. What a delightful song! Really easy to listen to, and the lyrics were so bright and good…loved the production – everything sounded top notch sonically! I knew Dave had a super great voice, but Tara sounds SWEET! And you guys singing together are perfect! It really works! Very Nice!!!
