MountainCity, It’s Christmas Time

It’s Christmas Time is a MountainCity original on their recently released Love’s Gonna Find You Christmas EP.

They wrote the song about two years ago, referencing the songs and artists that they grew up enjoying during the holidays.

“I love it because the lyrics are very personal for us,” Tara said. “Dave and I love Christmas. By that I mean we love the sounds, the sights, the tastes and the scents of the holiday!”

In writing the lyrics, Tara says Dave did a great job of capturing things specific to their family. He even talks about Tara sing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas on stage, and about their sons, Hunter and Kai turning “Jingle Bells” into  “Batman smells, Robin laid an egg,” as kids around the world often do.

“It turned out so fun! Even though it is very personal to us,” Tara says, “we hope listeners can relate to it and pick out all the references we made.”
