MountainCity to Perform on Main Stage at Loveland’s Fire and Ice Festival in February

(Loveland, COJeanie Rhoades)  MountainCity will be performing at the Fire and Ice Festival on the main stage, 6 pm on Saturday February 11, 2017.

Loveland, Colorado,  also known as Sweetheart City, is home to the annual festival, which Fox 31 News recently called the largest Valentine’s Day celebration in the nation, making it a perfect place for MountainCity to perform.

Mountain City’s entire playlist, in all the styles they encompass (folk-pop, country, modern, EDM and more) is made up of love songs. The singing/songwriting duo says, “We make a great effort to learn how to love each other and people around us well. That’s where our songwriting and cover song preferences flow from…Love.” They are excited to be part of the Fire and Ice Festival for the second year in a row.

From Friday, February 10 through Sunday, February 12, “the heart of downtown Loveland comes alive for three full nights and two full days of family fun, featuring an explosive fireworks show with music and lights, ice sculpting, fire performances and more,” event organizers, Visit Loveland Colorado and Blazen Illuminations said in their official press release.

The festival, in its’ third year, is expected to draw more than 33,000 attendees. Among the many family-friendly features are a food-truck food court, romantic carriage rides, and “The Family Fair,” which is a mini-carnival with a carousel, and games.

Nationally renowned ice-sculpting teams will compete and visitors are invited to vote on their favorite sculptures. The completed entries can be seen at the colorful, lighted Ice Gallery.

The Marketplace features local artisans, and Our Heroes Vehicle Showcase will display vintage firetrucks and first responder vehicles. There will be live, free music and performances throughout the event, including MountainCity’s Saturday evening performance, and nightly fireworks displays.

MountainCity would like to invite all of their friends and fans to join them at the Main Stage, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 6 pm.

The event is free and open to the public. More information about festival activities and schedules can be found at LovelandFireAndIce.com.

Dave would like to thank his sponsor, Shubb Capos.

Dave says:

“Out of all the capos I’ve tried over 25+ years of playing guitar, Shubb Capos are the best…I’m blown away to be a part of the Shubb Family of Artists! I’ve literally had the same Shubb capo for over 20 years and it’s still rockin’! Serious quality, man! And, they are made in the good ol’ U.S.A., which I dearly love!”
